APL seeks to provide robust educational opportunities for diverse learners.
WHO IS APL FOR?
APL’s admissions process reflects our commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment where both neurotypical and neurodiverse students thrive. APL provides targeted opportunities that promote the academic achievement and social development of students who benefit from a smaller, supportive learning environment, including:
- Students whose goals and academic experience are best supported by individualized learning
- Students across the autism spectrum
- Students who are behind academically and/or in their social/behavioral developments
Our admissions process is as individualized as our student body. Collaborative and community centered, it is designed to help your family assess if APL is the right fit for your student, and forms the foundation of the student’s unique learning plan.
Depending on your student’s application & needs, our admissions process may include a tour of the school, application review by a team with educational and clinical expertise, and a classroom observation, or an interview with your family and your student’s care team. APL is dedicated to providing strong academic opportunity, as well as behavioral and social-emotional supports that promote every student’s well-being, both within APL and the wider community.
